I'll preface my review by stating that I've never owned a Bluetooth speaker. Never thought I needed one until I was trying to listen to music in the shower via iPhone (on the vanity counter). Just didn't have the power to punch through the exhaust fan, running water and shower curtain...enter the Omaker M4. I was deciding between this and the $15 Soundbot that suctions to the shower. I opted for the Omaker due to the longer battery life and reviews boasting about the BIG sound. Plus I wanted a rugged speaker that I could use at the beach or backyard and this checked all the boxes. I quickly put the M4 through the paces in order to write this review. I'm sure there are others trying to make a similar decision to mine, so let's cut to the chase...THIS is the speaker to own. That is of course if you're looking for a $35 speaker with $90 specs. I have actually had quite a few local folks ask me what speaker I think would be best for using on a dashboard or center console, like in old work trucks and vans where wireless car speaker kits won't work (usually due to poor to no speakers at all). And the M4 is a great choice! In such a situation, small, rugged, good output, and a workday play life (8-12 continuous hours) with remote answering is the combination. The NFC paring is a nice touch as well, but regular pairing is simple and quick too. Not waterproof, but minor splash proof (like a oopsie with your Slurpee), it is a hard plastic shell with a rubber ring around it for good gripping. Also a lanyard slot on one corner, AUX In, Micro USB Charge port, and something I rarely see on a BT Speaker... a reset pin slot. surprised by its size and speed of getting it connected via NFC, January 29, 2015

i've took it out of the box and set it up literarily in seconds via NFC on my android (oneplus one). the speaker is a lot smaller than the way it is portrayed in the photos. (especially the 7th photo with rubber duck, in a non photoshoped picture the rubber duck would be larger than this speaker)
sound is up to par or even better than the $100+ competitors.
